The NDIS stands for National Disability Insurance Scheme.
With 1 in 6 Australians living with a disability that affects their lifestyle in a variety of capacities, the Australian Government initiated a nation-wide insurance scheme for individuals living with a disability, to ensure that they have access to a variety of support systems and are funded to maintain their current lifestyle to the best of their ability.
